
British Explorer, writer and photographer Levison Wood will receive the Special Contribution Award at the 6th annual Travel Media Awards being held virtually on Monday 25 January 2021.
Described by no other than Michael Palin as someone who has ” breathed new life into adventure travel ” Levison has published 7 books and produced a number of critically acclaimed documentaries aired worldwide.
Having travelled to over 100 countries worldwide Levison is well known for having walked the length of the River Nile, 4250 miles in 9 months, with his book “Walking the Nile” becoming a Sunday Times best seller.
Levison joins a strong list of previous Special Contribution Award winners including Simon Reeve, Michael Portillo and Rick Stein, and will receive his award at the event on 25 January 2021.
